Tales of Mailbox HORROR! Yes. Isn't that cooler than "Stupid mailbox! Trix are for kids!"?

My mailbox is stuck in a rut.

Maybe I should also say that it is Fuh-reaking out!

Poor Yahoo!*.

So, there is my poor mailbox. It has its happy POP mail function enabled. I have one non-yahoo mail account at a website, so I decided to go and put it on there so I could check it without having all the trouble of actually going to the website. And then I sign up for things with that website, and at least some spam gets sent there and I can delete it without even needing to look at it. It worked quite well for, oh, I guess about a year.

Lately, however, the Yahoo! mailbox has been having some emotional problems. I think its been crying itself to sleep or somethin'. It's been having some problems, and I don't want to pry into its personal life, so I just leave it be, but its affecting its work, now.

First, there was the phantom e-mail. There was an e-mail. So, I tried to open it. Yahoo started crying and said that it was in an "invalid state", or something. I patted it on the back, and decided to try again later.

Then, I check my POP mail once more. The thing eventually downloads, without changing to the more and more frequently showing "WHA???" (Which is more commonly known as the "cannot find server" page) So, I delete the messages. But, what? It says I still have 24 unread messages. I don't see them! Check mail. Nothing. Change mailbox from "Unread" setting to "All". Nothing. Refresh page. Nothing. Whatever. Maybe it'll fix itself.

Next day. I have 25 unread messages in the inbox! Wait.... no. I have 1 unread message and 24 huhs.

The next day, they were gone again.

Now, every time I check POP I get the same 38 messages (It is set to delete the messages from the POP mail once downloaded). And the "WHA???" page, so I have to log back into yahoo.

Poor mailbox. I feel your pain. Perhaps its haunted by some ghost. Only it... really knows what is wrong. *sigh*

:o|

*Oh, by the way. Yahoo! is a trademark of, um, Yahoo and whatever else, and I ain't affiliated with them or nothing. Just so ya know.
