I yak about how fantasterific it is to be left-handed.

Hi! I'm feeling a proclivity (did I use that word right? I think so.) to bitch in my entry today... but hohum, that just wouldn't be fair to my fan. No one wants to read my ol' bitch session... lets just say its about friends and CONSTANT AND REVOLTING PDAs and leave it at that.

So, ya know, the other day I was curious and ran a search on my diary to see if I had mentioned a fun fact about myself... and I hadn't! WAH!

Guess what? I am one of 10% of the population.

Yes, that's right... I am left-handed. Actually, maybe that sentence should read "Yes, that's left...", aye? But its far too late now. It's not like I could just delete and substitute, right? Tee hee hee.

Speaking of late, its ten-oh-two, and I have to get up at 6 am. And I haven't even washed my face/taken out contacts/ brushed the teethers... oh well, screw it, I ain't gettin' 8 hours now anyway. Might as well finish this thought.

So, back to the original subject of left and handed, I am.

I recently read a statistic on some left-handers website (hey, its a right-handed world! We lefties gotta stick together! And play MLB! Except for me!), that speculated that about 20% of men and 8% of women are left-handed. What the fuck?! I know, I'd say, 10-15 women who are left-handed. And these are people I know, not counting all the women I've noticed it on, but never talked to or anything. How many men do I know who are left-handed? NONE. I think I've known 1 or 2 in my entire life. Seems to me that that statistic is either wrong, or else I am in a not-friendly-to-left-handed-guys enviroment. Could be, I suppose. But that just don't seem right. Or left. Ya know?

It also said that left-handers were more likely to be homosexual. I'm not. None of my left-handed friends (which are pretty plentiful) are. I guess it was just an amateur site though... so I should stop nitpicking.

Anyway: you always hear about the bad things about being left-handed (i.e. die sooner, more likely to chop off arm when using chainsaws), but what about the good stuff?

like, being more creative.

and, uh, having something to say to other lefties.

and... if you are holding hands with a rightie, you can both still have your dominant hands free! Yeah!

um... well, I like being left-handed. I just can't think of any other truly awesome things about it right now. I mean... left now.
