The Cast of Thousands!
Okay, or the Cast of Less than a Dozen!
I thought it would perhaps be a good time to introduce some of the major characters in my lame, angst-filled play at a life. Of course, this realization was brought on by the knowledge that I hadn't introduced my darling cat. I repeat, lame.
- Mom. My mother! Turns 51 on July 8th. We get on each other's nerves a lot, but I love her and all that crap.
- Dad. My father! Just turned 52, May 31st. Jokes a lot.
- Travis. (I'm not going to use real names, except for pets.) My oldest brother. Turned 22 May 27th. Can be really annoying and I-told-you-so-ish, but we generally get along.
- Gavin. My second oldest brother a.k.a. the middle child! We DO NOT get along. We generally try to avoid each other, or at least I try to avoid him, because we grate on each others nerves. He's 20, going on 6. His birthday is October 25th.
- Chian (just completely random) My best friend. We talk about everything. She'll be 19 on Sept. 22nd. We do get on each other's nerves if we are around each other too long. Okay, sometimes we just get on each others nerves. But not as much as we used to, and hey, we're best friends!
- Ben. My adorable darling kitty! He's nine (by deductive reasoning, that means I got him when I was 10- probably the reason he is so adored). He's a siamese mix, his eyes have a tendency to cross, and he has (pretty much) chronic conjunctivitis. He is possibly the most spoiled cat still alive, as most cats this spoiled just rot away to nothing. He's declawed and neutered, and an indoor cat (as are all of our cats) no matter how much he tries otherwise. He's skinny no matter how much I over-feed him, and he loves you. If you are a human-type creature, he thinks you are the best thing ever to live. He doesn't care if you hate/ are allergic to cats. He wants to bear your children. We got him at the APA (animal protection association)
- Molly. Technically Gavin's cat. She secretly still pines for me though. 12 years old. Hates Ben. Not particularly fond of people, especially men. Will run and hide with enormous eyes from any stranger. Has been acting nicer since she had surgery (malignant cancer, but she'll be fine. Or thats what I keep telling myself. She's too tough to die), however, I think she is finally returning to her normal, crabby self. Just a gorgeous cat. Huge green eyes, sweet little voice(until she gets mad), tortoiseshell. We found her in a parking lot.
I love you much Molly-- died December 1st 2002. We miss you sweetie.
- Goofy. 12 years old. Loves my father with a passion shown only when he is around. A nice old cat. Pretty laid back. In between Molly and Ben in temperment. Orange tabby with gian yellow eyes, and an incredibly fluffy tail and big feet.
- Lillith. Our newest kitty, as of February 17 2003. We got her January 21st, she is a very small black cat with golden eyes. Very sweet, and loves everyone-- until she has an attack! An attack of playfulness the likes of which the world has never seen! Ahh! We are assuming that her birthday was around January 21, 2001, however she was a stray, so we really don't know. We think she may have had kittens before we got her.
- Howdy-- then there's me! Hey, what do you know, thats me! No more explanation needed, right?
