ANOTHER new car, and a brief talk on the great grocery strike.4:13 p.m. - 2003-10-14
Howdy! Whoo hoo! Less than a month since my last entry. I am the queen!
Now, if only I had something interesting and cool to talk about. Hunh. How about those Cardinals? (Actually, I haven't heard anything at all about the Cards lately, so I'm assuming that they are sucking major doodoo.)
Do you see my new counter? Look up at the corner. Top left. Yeah... that. Isn't it pretty? I've been intending to get one for a long long time... but I kept forgetting. That's a nice site, btw. Won't give you ads on your page, if you are interested in a counter yourself.
So right now in good ol' Saint Louie... people are having trouble getting food, because of the grocery strike... Chian is a member of that union, and I really think its fine if they want to strike if they want... but it still means that all of the non-striking stores are running. out. of. everything. Since the groceries are closing early and have very little stock, all the other stores have lots o' business. Which means on the relatively rare occasions that I go shopping, there is nothing there. Irritating all the same.
It's a loverly day out today! Nice and sunny, but with big fluffy clouds. It was kinda chilly this morning though. What else is new?
Oh! Well... my daddy was thinkin' on gettin' another set of wheels on accounta us havin' ol' cars that was always breakin' down, so he went on down to Rolla to an aucti'n, wit'out really plannin' on purchasin', and he went and got another car! (that was supposed to be in a redneck accent. I don't know if it came off that way though, so I clarified) We've actually had it for like, 2 or 3 weeks now. All the sudden, cars are comin' out of our ears!
So, here's another description that you probably don't want to hear: Its a '96 Jeep Cherokee (the lowest trim level possible, whatever that is), and its an automatic! Yah! Go non-standard transmissions! And... its an odd shade of green. If they made a tictac that was the color of wintergreen mixed with lime? Well... this car would be that color. It's very... distinctive.
